Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

Hmmm … who else do we know who might be out there at the moment?

How does she know this? A little deus ex machine here?

Actually, not deux ex machine here but a painful stretch.

No deus ex involved. How she got to that point will be explained in the next few comics.

And it’s still a matter of debate about whether they’ll even go for it.

Its existence AND being easily “up-for-grabs” on a ship is a bit dues ex machina… AWFULLY convenient its already portable as opposed to deployed and no longer in use ‘cuz everyone’s dead… but as to how she knows is simply explained by her having nothing better to do than read and learn while cooped up being the only person alive on her side of the world.

There are a lot of up-for-grabs ships out there. What you should be thinking about it what all is on them.

Sounds like a good time to be in the salvage business.

Most definitely. That’s going to be dealt with in the next few months. There is a lot of stuff out there waiting to be picked up, and not every person doing it is part of a House.

I might point out that House Mebhe has been homeless for about three years now, comic time. The surreptitious continuance project needs some population and House Mebhe might be a decent source.

Beside having a bunch of Bellisarius scum in the basement, most of Amon-Lanc is a radioactive hell-hole. They need to be resettled.

      1 year comic time.

Okay, but it is still a damned long time to be out at sea. 😉
The problem is that they are the Amon-Lanc fleet and are anything but surreptitious 😉 They also can’t stay afloat forever.

In the old RPG I was running based on this world, the Maris Islands had largely been settled by House Mebhe
