Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
The Dweller. Prophet. Statistician. Sometimes madman. It is unclear, even to himself, whether he is seeing the future or calculating probabilities better than the fastest computer in existence. Needless to say, The Dweller knows things, often before they happen.
π
This isn’t the end for these characters, but this story has come to a close. I’ve been kind of setting things up for the sequel the last few weeks.
I’m looking forward to what comes next. Requiem has been the best comic I’ve read in the past decade and a half. Heck the only one to inspire me to do art myself!
Well, well. well. It that don’t beat all. I haven’t been reading as long as others have. Now to see what you are up to next. Not that you have to. Oh and most importantly, thanks for the ride man.
First thing I am going to do is take a few months off. There are some things I want to test out, and I want to get some artwork taken care off that has been on the backburner for far to long.
Thank you. I have enjoyed reading this comic since around 2012 (when I binge-read it from the start). You have created characters that I can care about, for whom my heart aches when they lose loved ones. That’s rare.
Wow. When I click on a character link and find myself looking at a page from 15 years ago or something, I don’t feel quite so bad about forgetting a lot of details. There’s an incredible amount of detail to forget. I must have started reading sometime in 2004, since little had happened. Before Theresa Quinlan was introduced, I think. So very, very much has happened in 17 years.
I am left with so many questions, both before and after. You’ve hinted at so much more than you’ve shown. That’s part of what has driven me to check this story every weekday for 17 years. I’ve gone from parent of a toddler to a retiree, while you have kept on building a world, a constant presence that few outside my family can match.
I look forward to hearing about your plans on Monday. You have certainly earned your break!
ho. ly. cow.
thank you so much for this whole work, i have enjoyed the ride!
(and now for a re-read!)
(btw, i managed to call Julia’s & Ian’s survivals completely backwards!)
I swear that wasn’t planned…I was just trying to wrap it up and I didn’t want to just pointlessly drag things out.
Thank you…I’m just glad we managed to pull it off. A whole hell of a lot of life happened in between making this damn thing π

Bravo, Sir, Bravo.
Thank you….I hope to hell we don’t drop the ball on the followup π
Thank you, and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Looking forward to Monday.
I need to start over at the beginning and read it the whole way thru.
Might want to wait a couple days on that…over the next few days I plan on finally getting the archive and cast pages all the way updated.
I’m glad you enjoyed it π I’ll be talking about where we’re going to go from here on Monday.
