Now the big question. What’s next? Dehane’s host is dead without warning. But the Dweller talked about a 10 second time period.
Can Dehane get away to a new host? How dependent is Dehane on having a functioning human brain to think with?
Can Dehane posess Ian? Ian was spared the plague because the plague had an exception programmed into it for members of House Bellesarius that Dehane decided wasn’t worth removing. Does that House background make Ian vulnerable to posession?
Adah once hosted a different shard of Demuzi. Though Demuzi can’t see her, can Dehane when she’s right there? Can Adah be posessed?
I have a nightmare that Ian will have to pull the trigger on a Dehane-posessed Adah and really hope I’m wrong. Losing someone close twice that close together… It’d scarcely be better if it’s a Dehane-Ian that Adah has to shoot. We’ve been following Ian through this whole story.
