Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

Jazz’ last comment could easily devolve into a rousing session of “Last Thursdayism”, but her main point stands. What comes after that is the Great Singularity of consciousness.
Atheist that I am, I find comfort in seeing the legacy my beloved dead have left behind them: the families they raised, the still-thriving businesses they established, the trees and gardens they planted and tended. There’s also this quote, from the comic-book version of Jonny Quest, by his father Benton: “Son, I don’t know what happens when we die. I only know that, in the end, we’re energy and energy can’t be created or destroyed. It can only change, from one form into another.”
