Robot delivery from a warehouse will continue until supply or maintenance becomes a problem. If they are electric vehicles, then road maintenance will be the weak maintenance link. Our roads need to be replaced at a rate of 3% to 5% each year plus patching, debris clearing, and line painting. Restocking those warehouses is still possible via robots, but is more complicated and introduces more points of maintenance failure. It will likely be a slow crash, which makes it easier for the people to adapt.
