Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

Looks like the Walker had some nice fashion sense.

Now, why would Adah’s mind suddenly jump to “health problems”?????

I went back through the whole sequence.  Now I have questions.

Were The Walker’s “heath problems” an advanced case of the sort of brain disconnect (I forget the term) that was found among Dehane’s potential new hosts?

The Walker talks about bones and clothes hitting the ground.  Is Kronos a corruption of the Upload process?  Is it a refinement of the weaponizing of Nin’s nanotech work?  Both?  Neither?

Q: Were The Walker’s “health problems” an advanced case of the sort of brain disconnect (I forget the term) that was found among Dehane’s potential new hosts?
A: No. The Walker’s problems were being caused by too many memories and too much neural processing power being accessed at once by her passenger….in the end, her autonomic functions were slowly being broken down. She was never crazy or mentally impaired on a conscious level. She was 100% sane the entire time. Exhausted and extremely scared towards the end of the First Thinker being in her head, but sane.

Dehane is basically slipping into something akin to violent paranoid schizophrenia due to just how many pieces of different people are all up in his head…combined with Dissociative identity disorder due to his active passenger.

Q:The Walker talks about bones and clothes hitting the ground. Is Kronos a corruption of the Upload process?
No, Kronos is a nanotech plague that causes the Clostridium species bacteria in your body to begin to progress decomposition by breaking down lipids and complex carbohydrates associated with human tissue while you are still living. It has nothing to do with the upload process, and was made by one of the Houses in the modern day. It has nothing to do with the weaponization of Nin’s work. Hell, Nin’s work wasn’t really weaponized in the way you are thinking either. All she did was make a variant of her fog that was diamon based instead of the 120 micron aluminum oxide based version she typically used. A diamond fog is combustible and she basically used it as a fuel air explosive (Detailed on 1-8-2019)
