Operational security might be an issue with a hotel network. It’s likely only designed to handle financial transactions securely. Anything else would be treated like routine telephone traffic.

The ones I worked for understood that they were in the ‘lodging’ business, not the ‘shipping’ business. They would have handed off to a carrier FedEx or UPS (and charged their guest a premium for doing so). Given how often they leave my packages in plain sight on my front porch, I have to wonder if they even know what ‘security’ means.
