Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

I’ve got good news on that front. The Houses are going to be rather occupied for the next few decades and aren’t likely to have nuclear capability again for decades after if not centuries.

If the Towers aren’t engulfed in a nuclear holocaust by, say, this time next year, it’s probably not going to happen.

I am going to assume that the houses allied with Caladharas are smart enough to have secured their nuclear arsenals by now. I would also assume that they have a contingency plan to neutralize or secure any loose nukes from unallied houses after things go to shit, but before some surviving non-state actor becomes a nuclear armed threat. They put too much time and effort trying to survive the catastrophe to let some lucky yahoo accidentally nuke what’s left of civilization.

Looks like someone has a zipper in the back of their head? Thinking it is a reflection ..

I will admit, I’m getting confused on who/what is going to be uploaded/downloaded into who/what.

If I’m recalling this correctly, the previous civilization uploaded most of their citizen’s consciousnesses into the fabric of reality, leaving just the towers and a dead world for the deep ones, the first mariner and his people. The technology exists to download those same consciousnesses into a recently deceased host. The Kronos virus was designed to kill off the current civilization so the ‘great download’ would have enough hosts for the people floating in the ether for millennia (and going insane). Nin-Banda created the Kobalt virus as a 2-factor authentication for the utility fog, but did not realize that a resistance to Kronos and protection from the downloads were side effects in addition to the many talents like teleportation and other abilities. The towers and team Caladharas are trying to prevent the download, stop as much of Kronos as they can, and hope they don’t accidentally rip a hole in reality in the process.
Anyone please feel free to clear things up as you see fit.
