Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
Denise Callahan is the chairman of the Northern Separatists Movements, and a political colleague of Olivia Wells. Dies at the hands of Targeter in a showdown at the Wells Hotel after The Dweller revealed her vulnerability to House Caladharas forces.
This lady (who chooses to remain nameless) is professional assassin who hails from the city of Naglorond. She does most of her work for private citizens since the end of the House Wars, where she was responsible for the deaths of a number of House personnel.
The handle she is currently using is “Targeter” All that is known about her so far is that she was a child prostitute in Naglorond who killed her way out of the business , and decided to never put her fate in the hands of another ever again.
Heh, I was just thinking that the Tarot was just right as well.
Though I’m still not convinced she’s dead. Just how hard is it to kill an immortal after all? He powers might be shut down for the moment, but when they kick back in does her current state actually matter?
@Count Thalim, On this question, I am going to give you an answer that you are going to hate: it depends on the immortal. But in this case, it’s ding dong, the bitch is dead.
@Slamlander, I remember reading about the Whisper cartridge back when work was being done on it back in the late 90’s, but I wasn’t aware that there were many weapons that fired it.
The one I’ve been a big fan of is the 4.6mm the H&K is using for their PDW.
Targeter needs to check the Hubris at the door, it has no place in this type high stakes game. Right now Julie and Hubby are both out of gas on powers, since she use the glass ploy, how long before they get relieved?
Just checked back on your reply to Fridays comment, her attitude and today’s both a bit over the top for the past history of the character. However if it works then go with the flow, just hope she doesn’t let down and find herself in deep doo-doo.
Just as long as you don’t answer all of them – there has to be some mystery! Even the best and most thoroughly trained are unpredictable in the right circumstances. In Targeters’ case, she just lost another person and had to deal with the killer without knowing if the glass thing was even going to work. She could just as easily been fried. She’s certainly handled it better than I would have – I’d be changing my underwear about now.
Targeters’ calculated risk paid off – this time. Appropriate background picture (tarot) :).

@Dragonrider, Not everybody is effected by the glass thing….Calliel isn’t. Ariana of Splinter Lake isn’t. And neither are the Threllichock
Next chapter, we’re going to be going into this in depth, I promise you…and we will be answering a lot of questions.
