While things are getting better a lot of things are still a trainwreck on my end.
While my cat has responded to the thyroid medication, she can’t take it as a pill which is the prime reason for all of her side effects (including being vomity as all hell)

So the mighty 15 year old furball is going to be getting a topical gel in her ears, and is on anti-nausea medication and a reduced dose of the pills until she can get on the gel.

That’s one thing that’s getting better…on the other hand, the day after I posted my message about things going on pause, an elderly family member banged themselves up in a fall and is still recovering.

So we are still in wait and see mode over here. When we know more, you’ll know more. 🙁

2024 is trying to kill me, I swear to Dog.

Ah, Ian. Closure from the dead is problematic, isn’t it… We the readers got far more closure; we got to see Belisarius go down HARD. At the same time, it’s clear that however satisfying his death is to us, it doesn’t undo any of the harm he’s done in his world. That is left to the living; the real work still lies ahead, a lifetime and more of it.

I wonder how many people (?) died when things went wrong for Bellisarius? And where? Potentially, his entire army – although that seems unlikely. And the remainder of the Amund-Lanc army? Could they take back their city?

Hmm. Lots of possibilities – I like that in a story.

    I remembered that. However, if the conquering horde is fried, crippled or confused they certainly have a shot at it. The time span hasn’t been that long and – if they can get out of their fortification – they’d be fighting on terrain they know exceedingly well. Unlikely, but so was the battle of Cannae. Just a thought.
