The Sapphire Bar, Part 3
The music that is currently playing is Santana’s “Hold On”. It’s an early eighties tune from them that I have always loved. And Youtube even has it.

For all you Scotch drinkers out there, the bottle on the bar is a shout out to a friend of mine from long ago. It’s a Springbank 10 year single malt. Springbank has always been an interesting distillery to me, and you can find out more about them HERE and HERE
Though I must admit a personal bias towards Speyside Single Malts myself, of which The Macallan, The Glenlivet, and Glendronach are all members.
However, the reason that I am commenting now is that I wish to thank you for the dialog on matter transport, replication v. topological short cut. I never liked the StarTrek transporters and have always thought the tunnel was more realistic. Something about the destruction of the original always struck me as being wrong. There is also the theological aspect which you brought out in the same dialog.
I just always thought of a movie called “The Fly” Some form of quantum tunnelling always just seemed safer to me.

“The right to buy weapons is the right to be free” 🙂
Heck, one of my favorite authors has a place in his books called the Isher Sport Shop. It is a front for gunrunning, and has a sign in the basement arsenal of that quote. (The Repairman Jack series)
