If this is the real Amena then I don’t see it’s relevance to the plot. It’s might create some social problems with the family but doesn’t have a wider significance if you assume a liberal minded society. However, those personal tensions could cause problems considering they all have to work together in this war situation.
If this is the fake Amena (and it was the real one that lived out her life) then she (it?) might have received similar orders to the Throne. In which case, I see this as obeying the directive “Contain”.
