Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
@Ken, to continue the previous conversation. I agree the big fish in little pond syndrome, however that is a microcosm of what I was saying. The person who has achieved the position of Manager. Business Owner, Corporate VP, Division Head etc has the time in, and their career is wearing on them. Their Corporate Armour/responsibilities weigh heavy on their soul. They look for some diversion to distract them, they don’t care if that diversion costs someone their job, house, family the act of doing it diverted them from the weight they feel they carry.
The characters in this book are effectively immortal, Aya and Calliel have been around since the beginning of time, Illness falls off their back, ordinary wounds slow them down but they regenerate, some can change shape and have ruled as gods over previous civilizations, pain, solitude mean nothing to them the only way to experience relief from their boring existence is to: A) Cause pain and suffering in others (The Mid level Manager) B) Experience death so they play very dangerous games that are basically saying, you killed me I win.
