Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
This is where we first saw Dehane in a female host. The host was in a hibernation chamber, like what Nin-Banda (Nina Mesky) used to survive the house fire in the Maris Islands. She’s either gone back to her hidey-hole … OR Miko killed Talia and made it impossible for Dehane to get back to “her” own body, so she’s had to wake another sleeping host. I think it’s the former, myself.
When Dehane posesses a body, it takes in its prevoious owner’s psyche. and carries the mind along with it from body to body. Most hosts curl up and die, but a few hang around and make commentary.
The mind talking to Dehane is/was a previous host. He was a supporting cast member who Dehane posessed and used to commit several murders. We’ve seen Dehane arguing with this mind before. He was able to get a small amount of information about Dehane out to Our Heroes without Dehane realizing it.
Dehane might not even be aware that the minds it has collected can do this.
Guessing that is the “owner” of the body Dehane is inhabiting, that is adding commentary?
Can’t find it, but there was a much earlier scene showing Dehane waking up in this body and place.
I’m guessing the voice today is the “ghost” of Magnus Chandler, who was also haunting Dehane here: http://requiem.spiderforest.com/?comic=2020-03-09
Then again, it could be any of the people he’d occupied over the years. It’d be funny to see him get a scolding from Morgan Veight.
