Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

Yeah, but the vibe I got from Enana – which probably makes sense given the slavery in her past – is that she didn’t think any kind of freedom you don’t rip from the bloody corpse of your oppressor with your own two hands is really “true” freedom.

… Of course, she was also a big honkin’ hypocrite, because she was perfectly willing to send absolutely everyone else to fight and possibly die, but the moment she realized /she/ could actually get hurt and killed she turned and ran screaming — for all the good that it did her.

She had an obsession and the means to satisfy it – at least in the short term. There’s nothing rational about it and the obsessed don’t see the hypocrisy.
