Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

A Call from the North (Part 5)

I just found this comic on http://topwebcomics.com/. I just thought that you’d want to know.

Yeah, I put it on back in 2004. When I realized that Toplists were utterly useless for the most part, I tried to get it off of there and I haven’t been able to. I had that happen with Buzzcomics too, but I’ve actually outlasted their entire site so it’s not a problem any more.

I was wondering about that. I don’t know anyone that actually uses them to find things.

They’re a scam as far as I’m concerned. They sucker a lot of people into them with a promise of increased traffic, when in reality you are just making sure that the toplist admins make more money off the ads they are hosting.

You have to pay to be on them?

No, but the only purpose they seem to serve is to earn the people who run those lists ad money off of us sending them traffic. I’ve never received any appreciable traffic from them. Ever.

When I have time and I’m bored I sometimes browse them looking for something new. I think I found this one through an ad, though.

Of the 26 comics I regularly read, I can think of 2 that I’m sure that I found through Top Web Comics. I’ve found others but they didn’t interest me enough to bookmark.
