Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

Yup, a quite common error. “I’m a doctor” This man has been shot “Well, I’m a Doctor of PHYSICS, so unless he’s got some sort of high energy state gamma emissions, I’m no help.”
Also curious at the “strange animals” … sounds like there are a few more things changing. Waiting to hear about the changes in their “clock” that I believe was mentioned a while back?
If you are referring to the beginning of the story, this was because of all the souls/consciousnesses uploaded that were interfering with reality. It got resolved when the Tower downloaded those people into the bodies of the dying people when the plague broke out. If you are referring to something else, details please? (Sorry if my terms/details are a bit off, very tired atm).
Yes and no. A good scientist faced with a problem outside his wheel house will still follow scientific methodology and think logically. If they have mystery animals running around, you need someone to collect lots of data and record it properly. Their investigation will be data driven and their strategy will be one with an eye towards the scientific method.
If the question is “what will the animals do?” then logically the choice would be biologists, but I suspect the real question is “where are the animals coming from and how did they get here? and given the rest of the story, physicists would probably be the best choice. If the question is “who is bringing them here?” then someone skilled in weaponry might be the best choice.
