Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
Adah’s two words and her posture add volumes to the creepiness of this encounter. The muted colors and light also add greatly to the setting and mood; that humans and their drama amount to very little to the powers at play here.
Looks to me like the subroutines are maybe (very clever) analogs of legal codes?

Having seen and written a bit of code, I’m not sure whether this would be huge improvement over the way we currently do “laws”, but any development that could promote identifying and fixing bugs would seem to be a hugely positive trend.
If memory serves, ‘Utu’ was the name originally given to Nin-Banda’s company before it was taken over by the authorities. …Means ‘Sun’ or ‘light’. Sort of suggests she may have had more to do with the Tower software than she has so far disclosed.
And the attendants are running the show?
That could be, disappointing.
