While things are getting better a lot of things are still a trainwreck on my end.
While my cat has responded to the thyroid medication, she can’t take it as a pill which is the prime reason for all of her side effects (including being vomity as all hell)
So the mighty 15 year old furball is going to be getting a topical gel in her ears, and is on anti-nausea medication and a reduced dose of the pills until she can get on the gel.
That’s one thing that’s getting better…on the other hand, the day after I posted my message about things going on pause, an elderly family member banged themselves up in a fall and is still recovering.
So we are still in wait and see mode over here. When we know more, you’ll know more. π
I’ve been shipping them for a while too. They’re similar mental ages, though both were forced to grow up ahead of normal maturity (and Adah may have inherited a lot from her previous self). And it doesn’t hurt that Adah is one of my favorites.
The only drawback is, barring Gransfather showing up again, the Caldharas line would end with Ian.
James has said on many occasions that the First Mariner will NEVER be coming back. He’s just bones and bad memories now.
As for the Caladharas line, there are plenty of orphans in this world now. It is not without precedent for a leader to adopt an heir, especially in times of crisis. Ian is just the kind of guy to find an orphan and love him/her as if they were a blood relative.
Julia would not object to him moving on and would totally approve of Adah, but I think Ian will take a long time to be in a place where he’s ready. He has a serious case of payback to take care of first, then he has to help rebuild civilization before its time to plan a wedding.
Looking like Adah is one of Ian’s lifelines to stay in the world and stay with the plan. Don’t think they need to be “involved” for that to continue – unless they decide otherwise, lol
