Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

Ward, Part 2

Isn’t it possible the doctor is at least partially concerned with the well-being of his patients and needs reassurance that these strangers won’t abuse or exploit them? Given the various crises this society has been hit with lately, his digging in his bureaucratic heels isn’t too surprising.

Or perhaps a combination of genuine concern for his charges *and* having to deal with a very irregular visit / request. Along with routine being very important in that kind of medical facility.
