Internet and phone service are back up and running again! Restart date is going to be September 25, 2023. I need a little time to get back into the groove with things, plus a family member has some medical issues that are going on next week as well.
Andry McCraigyn is the chief of security assigned to protect the heir to Merchant House Caladharas. Andry is a gruff man…who has a special sense of discretion. He tries to do his job to the best of his ability, but he also knows when to look the other way. Especially when the 17 year old heir wants to go out on a date by himself.
Andry McCraigyn is in his late forties,and has been on the job for the last decade and a half…and he considers himself to be one of the best in the business. He isn’t wrong either.
I think it’s completely amusing how the two guys haven’t moved at all, not dodged or ran when someone pulled a gun, just stood there like stoners. “Wow maaan, that dude just got shot!”

Have you ever seen a movie called “Snatch”? There’s a line that Jason Statham has in it that’s just wonderful:
“Have you ever crossed the road, and looked the wrong way? A car’s nearly on you? So what do you do? Something very silly. You freeze. Your life doesn’t flash before you, ’cause you’re too fuckin’ scared to think – you just freeze and pull a stupid face. ”
Without training, people freeze. Those two simply aren’t trained security/military types.
I have been pondering the prophesy – a people, a house, and an heir. It doesn’t say all heirs, just an heir. Also, there were survivors from House Cavanaugh and Amonson-Lancaster. I suspect that this prophesy, like most others, has areas of “interpretation”. I will be interested in seeing if it’s meaningful only to Bellisarius or if it has any power over anyone else.
Well what I have trouble with is that nobodies noticed that he’s carrying around the gun and thats awful good shooting with a silencer in a borrowed body for a REMF after Xteen years of peace.
