Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

A Final Interlude at Club Sapphire, Part 4

Dana McAllen

Dana McAllen is a member of the urban exploration association that is currently investigating remnants of the worlds previous civilization. She initially made her debut in the Tunnelrunners side comic. She has been Ian's closest friend since early childhood, and is still his closest confidant.

Comics: 592
Recent Appearance: A Survivor Type: A Comfortable Apocalypse, Part 4
First Appearance: 2006-09-03

Ian Caladharas

Thorondor โ€œIanโ€ Caladharas is the 18 year old heir to one of the first of the Merchant Houses. An intelligent, independent teenager; Ian has a tendency towards irreverence and and frustration. In all honesty, he doesnโ€™t care what his grandfather says he is heir to, he just wants to have a normal life. Or at least as normal a one as possible. (As my skills improved I made some revamps to this characters appearance to reflect aging and such as well. The top picture is how he is currently modeled. )

“safe as houses” – now that’s a quaint expression right there. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tee hee. What a great sequence to come back to after a month absence :). Read all of them pages from the Sapphire club up till here in one sitting… feels darn good to catch up! Great plotlines juggling by the way! There are so many mysteries that I sometimes wonder how to keep track of them with new ones coming up, but you guys seem to get them compartmentalized so well that transitions from one smaller storyline to another it doesn’t feel at all jarring :). Had no problem recalling the story at all after not reading new pannels after over a month! ๐Ÿ™‚

The goat-flushing-the-tiger ploy definitely works better if the goat doesn’t know what it’s being used for… If that oddman was so ignorant to not even KNOW WHO IAN WAS UNTIL HE WAS TOLD, he may be useful in that regard. Good call, Ian.

There is some. Don’t worry, this will be addressed in some future comics.

There is also one other item – the opposition will now know of some previously secret talents.

“Heh, this article was the cause of this entire section of comics” – I couldn’t seem to reply directly using reply link in either Opera or Google browser.

I found article comical in that author seemed to be as one sided as what he was criticising… he was all pro obama, ignoring that same thing happened to Bush before (journalists forget that Clinton also bombed Iraq for WMD in 1998, Bush is blamed for housing crisis when legislation to deregulate and give mortages to those who can’t pay was under Clinton and Carter, and if you read the 9-11-2003 new york times article where Bush tried to regulate Fanny and Freddy Mac, the democrats are ones on page 2 who oppose it and claim no housing problem)

I see little difference between leadership of Bush and Obama so far. Obama is withdrawing in Iraq on timeline negotiated by Bush, Obama is using millitary tribunals for most cases, Obama is spending money even faster then Bush, both passed social program dreams of Ted Kennedy – no child left behind and Medicare.

Little difference in leadership? Maybe so, but I guarantee you that we won’t hear any bullshit like “Brownie’s doing a helluva job” out of Obama. No “Mission Accomplished” either. Not too mention any unresolved oedipal complexes that get US soldiers killed for a lie and a lust for oil.

Little difference? Those differences are good enough for me.

Here, here! A little honesty and integrity go a long ways.
