Spam has made my Inbox all but useless lately. I run my own mailserver and I at least have a decent anti-virus. However, the spam is killing me. I had the problem on my WP blogs but I now limit replies to the LiveJournal site … friends-only.
I’d love to pop about 4 ounces of C-4 up the ass of the next spammer. But then, a 9mm round might be cheaper, if not less entertaining.
Akismet takes care of most of damn near all of the comic spam (and for email Gmail covers the rest for me). This idiot was someone trying to plug his webcomic toplist. And you all know just how useless I think those are
Or, I could do the smart thing…which is edit the URL out of your post so that spamming your toplist doesn’t accomplish anything, and then ignore you. Sorry to deprive your useless little toplist of ad revenue
