Your comments on the the explorers were very interesting – my reading was Tarzan, the biographies of the \\"great white hunters\\", Sir Richard Francis Burton, Isaac Asimov, Andre Norton, Agatha Christie, John Dickson Carr, and the Untouchables (my mother had to check it out for me – the library said I was too young). For what you\\\’re doing, your reading was perfect. Mine had a bit of a shotgun quality to it.
@Ken, I can’t believe I forgot Tarzan. My father got me into Edgar Rice Burroughs early on. The whole idea of Opar was a huge influence on me when I was young.
