A Survivor Type: Coming Home, Part 9

Adah Wynant

The only survivor of the Starfall Outbreak

Comics: 425
Recent Appearance: A Survivor Type: Coming Home, Part 19
First Appearance: The Walker, Part 1

Ian Caladharas

Thorondor “Ian” Caladharas is the 18 year old heir to one of the first of the Merchant Houses. An intelligent, independent teenager; Ian has a tendency towards irreverence and and frustration. In all honesty, he doesn’t care what his grandfather says he is heir to, he just wants to have a normal life. Or at least as normal a one as possible. (As my skills improved I made some revamps to this characters appearance to reflect aging and such as well. The top picture is how he is currently modeled. )

    … Good point.

The thing is, once the neophilia wears off, it turns out that what we really want out of our tech and gadgets and window managers is that they make it easy for us to do what we want them to and then stay out of the way while we do stuff.

Yup (sips coffee) but if you really want to bring out the screaming destructive ape that resides in us all. Just have the most reliable, basic and yet technologically advanced thing they have stop working or wear out. Then? (sips more coffee) Just stand way, way back for the screeching, rock throwing, poo flinging conniption fit. Followed quite possibly with a bit of pleading, whimpering and crying. p.s. personally inspite of near extinction I’d rather be an Orangutan than a human.
