Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
One of the uploaded ones 😉 an unknown from the second wave Kurshid but, not one with the Cobalt infection? A survivor of a dispersion event but preceding The Dispersion event.
Julia’s mother originally hired her but Jazz has strong loyalties to House Caladharas.
She is NOT one of the immortals; not wealthy enough. Therefore; relatively recently re-born.
Interesting puzzle to leave us with before the weekend. Thou art truely evil 😉
She’s only ‘died’ once. That pretty much rules her out as an immortal, given the regular ‘deaths’ Ishara and ‘Leana have had to arrange over the centuries – unless she’s newly immortal. ‘Those Belisarius maniacs’ rules out her being a Belisarius fugitive. Plus she seems to have been in place prior to the Belisarius power-play, which pretty much rules out anyone we’ve met and assumed to have died. The big question is whether her ‘death’ was literal or metaphoric – is she a fugitive, or was she reborn. I think we can rule out deep cover agent as she seems to be completely out of the intel loop. One interesting possibility would be a former tower abductee.
But I don’t think titling the section ‘The Crane’ is a coincidence.
Or a download rescued by Enke. That huge computer of his, combined with all those new bodies makes that quite possible. That computer is now shut down, what happened to all those egos?
Nope.
As for what she is…the clue is in the last panel.

My suspicion: she officially “killed” herself for some reason.
Assumption: she’s long-lived.
