If that’s Adah doing the shooting then she’s showing that she deserves to be with her current company. If that’s Kira shooting then she’s going to get one Hell of a surprise when Adah doesn’t die.
Derringers are small caliber and a shot to the stomach – Kira should be alive if not well. If she has the virus, she’ll recover. Dead is good. Full of information about how she escaped prison would be even better. All in all, a wonderful turn of events.
I spent hours, literally, finding a weapon/model that would fit and be (pretty much) totally concealed in the area I had to work with. I tried everything from the PPK, to the Sig P230, to the COP 357 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COP_.357_Derringer
I kind of wrote myself into a corner with the clothing that Adah was wearing…so it ended up being the Derringer.
Small would be nice (and smart) but a google search for ‘Derringer .44 MAG’ turned up all sorts of nastiness. (Also available in .357, .41 and 410 shotgun)
Most definitely. I still think one of the craziest/funniest things I’ve seen was a six-shot revolver that fired .410 shot shells.
On this one, I just decided to stick with straight 45 Colt. But hey, at the distance you’re likely to be using one of these, either one will get you through the night.

Finally, the end of the Kira-bitch? 😉
And a 2-shot derringer 😉 Not sure if Kira was worth more than one, though. 😉
Now there is the clean-up 😉

Heh, that’s what you think 😉
This one was based off of the American Derringer Model 1 in .45 Colt.
The weapon in particular http://www.amderringer.com/m1.html

The Derringer was a compromise. What I really wanted was a Semmerling LM-4, but I just couldn’t find a model of it anywhere, and I did not have time to make it myself.

I kind of wanted to put it in as a Easter egg to all the Repairman Jack fans out there (which are AWESOME books BTW)

What was the *click* in the first panel?
The hammer of the derringer being cocked.

This weapon in particular was modeled off of the Legendary Model 1 from American Derringer in .45 Colt.

…which can also load 410 shot shells.
At contact distance, either makes uncomfortable perforations.

I remember a 44-40 BP loaded with #8 shot. Never missed a snake head with it. 😉 Best snake gun I ever had 😉
Very cool.
Thanks for the reference to Repairman Jack. I didn’t know about that series 😉
You’re welcome. 🙂 Repairman Jack and the Adversary Series is just plain awesome.
