While things are getting better a lot of things are still a trainwreck on my end.
While my cat has responded to the thyroid medication, she can’t take it as a pill which is the prime reason for all of her side effects (including being vomity as all hell)
So the mighty 15 year old furball is going to be getting a topical gel in her ears, and is on anti-nausea medication and a reduced dose of the pills until she can get on the gel.
That’s one thing that’s getting better…on the other hand, the day after I posted my message about things going on pause, an elderly family member banged themselves up in a fall and is still recovering.
So we are still in wait and see mode over here. When we know more, you’ll know more. š
Nice way to show that Miko is human and has her limits. On first introduction, she and Targeter in particular seemed super-competent and unshakeable. As time has gone by, they’ve gained more dimensionality and showed believable flaws.
Agreed. The very bizarreness of Miko having a meltdown points to them as super-competent.
But yeah. Day after day of spending life in a “make a wrong move and everybody with you (including you) could burn down to a skeleton” bubble has got to get to anybody.
I once spent 2 weeks in a sealed NBCD suit as part of a Navy exercise…
Need a pee? 2 hour de-contam. Use the baggie instead.
Food? 2 hour de-contam. Suck from the fluid pump, and chew suit rations.
Shower? Forget it.
Eventually most of us figured the actual test was ‘how long can someone go without freaking in an NBCD suit… instead of the advertised ‘decontam a small island’ scenario we’d been given…
Getting out of that suit was the most awful (think smelly) yet delightful (thin being able to scratch your own ass) experience.

Would I do it again? Hell no.
Eli…
