Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
Glass is a Threllichock pilot and investigator for House Caladharas. His Threllichock name is unpronounceable to human kind: his human handle comes from his crystalline talons (A rare birth defect among his people, they are considered a mark of ill omen)
Thorondor “Ian” Caladharas is the 18 year old heir to one of the first of the Merchant Houses. An intelligent, independent teenager; Ian has a tendency towards irreverence and and frustration. In all honesty, he doesn’t care what his grandfather says he is heir to, he just wants to have a normal life. Or at least as normal a one as possible. (As my skills improved I made some revamps to this characters appearance to reflect aging and such as well. The top picture is how he is currently modeled. )
Julia Wells, significant other of Ian Caladharas. Julia co runs the Wells Hotel in Erech’s Clocktower District. For those people who have rpg’d in this world: The Wells Hotel is now known as Cytheron’s. Julia and Ian tied the knot in the City of Greyrest in the Crossing Territories.
Yeah, they have a number of these floating around. In the preview for Book 2, Dana, Laura and Ian are wearing these in Daressa, (without the armor plating added)
Step 1: Research manufacturer’s of body armour, space suits and/or protective suits for fireman and others in dangerous industries.
Step 2: Research the DARPA application process.
Step 3: Research the press.
Step 4: Call yourself a consultant.
Step 5: Contact the company(ies) you feel have the greatest chance of creating a suit.
Step 6: Persuade them that there is enough of a market for said suits for them to commit the R&D spending.
Step 7: Help them apply for support from DARPA.
Step 8: Advise them which news sources would be most likely to put a positive spin on the project and persuade them to make an announcement. (This helps to keep the project on track because it’s harder to cancel something that’s been announced to the world as your customers may ask you why you cancelled).
Step 9: Make a suit part of the fee you charge the company(ies) for your consultancy work.
Ps.
My fee is negotiable on completion of the above. 😉
Pps.
I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody is already working such a project.
