Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.

An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.

Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.

It’s like the reverse of Doctor Who (from the “Amy’s Choice” episode with Dr. 11). “I know who you are.” “There’s no one in the universe who hates me as much as you do.”

He/she/it has had a very long life and picked up a load of baggage. It appears to have gotten quite heavy.

Ah. My prior idea was wrong. Not all the people are in there, but a lot of their memories are. It does seem, though, that Magnus Chandler is intact. And angry.

Nice parallel with the First Thinker, who /asked Adah to carry him, did his best to minimize the harm while they did what had to be done, and then left before the cumulative damage became irreparable in order to let Adah regain herself.

From what we’re given to understand, the Thinker has scattered his consciousness into the subconscious minds of tens or even hundreds of people, existing as a distributed entity without (as far as we can tell) harming his hosts.

Dehane, on the other hand, “hollows out” and “devours” the minds of its victims in order to make room for itself.
