Due to family medical issues, Requiem is on indefinite hiatus.
An elderly family member of ours took a bad fall on Labor Day night, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Hopefully, things will get sorted out, but as of right now, doing a daily comic is not something my schedule can allow.
Sorry to have this happen, but as everyone knows, real life comes first….and at least we don’t have too many running storylines on the backburner.
Seem to recall our team thought these folks had DNA pre-disposing them to be taken over by the “thing”? Wonder if we are going to see a return – sure hoping not.
Hoping for an improvement in your feline companion’s condition.
Looks like the rats are realizing their refuge has become a trap. Their one chance would be abject, open surrender; not much of one, but some of them might be desperate enough. Though I doubt Ian & Co. have much mercy to extend in this situation: these people threw in with a monster and they knew it.
If I were in their situation, I would start thinking very carefully and very urgently about anything, anything at all I might be able to offer that might warrant a modicum of mercy from people who have every single reason in the world not to have any right now.
… Frankly, depending on how uncharitable Ian is feeling he might decide that there’s nothing he wants to ask them and just park a couple of drones above their hidey-hole to shoot anything that tries to exit the compound, and leave them to spend the rest of their miserable lives being terrified of the vengeance attack that might come any day now with only each other for company.
… I may be feeling a bit more vengeful than usual today, but these ratfucking Quislings have earned it.
Speaking of Amonson-Lancaster, wonder what is up with that old bag of bones. Did Grandpa finally die? Did its, and others (?) Mind get translated or try to join the translation into other bodies In the great dieoff? Or are they and the Cavern dwellers from the prevoius civilization, waiting for another war that is coming. Ian is the hier to two houses.
Cool beans. Feel ya on the family thing and pet one also. uhg, 2 feral foster cats (one with kittens) feral cat that may be a barn cat, may stay (health). And that’s not counting elderly family members.
Our eldest cat is 2 years into her Thyroid medicine and honestly is happier than she has ever been!

Good luck and best wishes for your cat.
The rest can wait.
Looking forward to the continuation.
