Requiem: Silence

And now we come into the next section of Book 1.

You might be noticing a cover theme, right? 😉  That’s the intent…I’ve been looking at it as a modern day variation of Memento Mori since this series began.  I wanted there to be an almost constant awareness of the dead.  Outside of the safe zones, you will never NOT see them.  And unless there’s a very specific reason for not doing so, they will be in every cover piece in Silence.

As for the music, it almost was the opening song to Silence, and lost out to The Rolling Stones at the very last minute.  From the moment I thought about using it, I could hear E and K off-key singing it in the back of my mind.  Funny where your mind will take you some days.
