I swear, it seems like everybody has a different answer on this.  The answer that Adah gave is based on having animals, milk production, sugar production, pasturage, eggs/hogs/chickens…basically an actual varied diet so you’re not all eating the same thing all the time and you can have a surplus with it.  Different people have different ways of looking at it.  And of course, the numbers vary on location/farming techniques/access to equipment.

(And one other thing, the typo that Adah makes in the third panel (the wrong word-usage for instead of per) is intentional.  I wanted it to be like somebody just rattling off data and figures and kind of tumbling over the words.  It won’t be corrected or changed.  Thanks for understanding.)
