I’ve been wondering if this loose string was going to be tied up.

In real life, things are messy, and you never get all of the ‘loose strings’ tied up into a neat little package.

A common mistake for storytellers and their listeners/readers is to try to make everything fit perfectly, with no ‘loose strings’ in the story line.

That said, some parts of the plot are too important to be left swinging in the breeze. …unless you’ve been planning on writing sequels to the story.

Oh, there will be loose threads all over the place by the time this is over. But this is one section that will at least get some kind of resolution.

As long as the continuty is ok, and as long as you don’t have the same character in two places during the same periods of time, you’ll be doing good. I haven’t noticed any real problem with that, but I’ve been reading for pleasure, myself. IMHO, it’s a great story, James.
